Creepy membranes of
An old self
Cling

Crushed into earth
Proteins
Seep deep
Enlivening
Another seed
Waiting
And hungry
For energy

Transfer of life
One to another
Each new
Unique
But
Connected
In wholeness
And
Brokenness

Such is life
Such is death
