Excellent series! Great capture of the hard light; and fine compositions
I have to say, I am really proud of this group. I know there’s mixed thoughts on labeling your art. That it leads the viewer rather than letting them have their own experience. But for me, the images are living things that affect my inner world. Part of the art is expressing the thoughts the images create in me, as much as the viewer. The first time I looked at Ballerinas Off Stage I immediately saw a dozen ballerinas in tutus waiting for their cue to leap onto the stage. That’s what I think I like about black and white. It is and is not what you see.
Yes, B&W leaves more room for the associations of your mind; it invites to put your meaning in it.
